Workshops, Courses and Tours

Lochaber and The Great Glen have long been a magnet for the serious photographer. Nevispix offer a selection of workshops and courses to cater for the novice and guided trips for the more experienced. Most sessions start in South Laggan (see map) where we have a studio/workshop.

New for 2012

Nevispix have teamed up with Michelin recommended guest house Distant Hills in Spean Bridge to offer guided photography holidays. Spean Bridge, “The crossroads of the Highlands” is the perfect location from which to photograph the iconic views of Lochaber and the Great Glen. Nowhere in scotland is there such a concentration of iconic views as Lochaber such as Glencoe with it's famous Buachaille Etive Mor, Rannoch moor, Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan viaduct, the islands of Eigg & Rhum and many more. On this holiday we'll visit most of them, plus some "hidden gems". For full details of this Four day photographic feast have a look at Photogrpahy holidays

Red Deer Photo' Safaris

Cost: £80 per person/day. Minimum 2, maximum 4

As featured on BBC1's Countryfile

In winter the herds of wild red deer descend to lower levels in search of easier feeding. At this time of year we can almost guarantee getting close to these magnificent creatures and we can often photograph them from the comfort of the minibus. Golden eagles may be seen soaring high above the glens and in the unlikely event the deer don't put in an appearance, we can guarantee the most magnificent scenery.
